Maple House boasts a garden, patio, BBQ, hot tub, and ample parking, providing the perfect setting for memorable moments. With a warm welcome to both dogs and children, the house offers ground floor bedrooms tailored for guests with limited mobility. Just a stone’s throw away, you’ll find the village’s award-winning pub and two farm shops. Plus, the picturesque countryside beckons for leisurely walks right from your doorstep, complete with provided maps for your exploration.

The Space

As you approach Maple House, the meticulous care put into its surroundings becomes evident. The newly planted landscape and pristine driveway lead you to the house and the parking area, leaving a lasting first impression. Surrounding the property, finely crafted dry stone walls enclose the house, patio, and garden, offering expansive vistas of the picturesque Cotswold countryside.

Ground Floor

Upon entering, you’ll find a bright and spacious hallway, complete with coat hooks and a convenient area for storing coats, boots, and shoes. To your left, the living room beckons, while the cloakroom awaits to your right. Continuing down the hall, you’ll pass a bureau and three full-length mirrors on your way to the kitchen-dining area, a single bedroom, and the master en-suite bedroom. A staircase from the hallway leads to three additional bedrooms and a family bathroom, and you’ll find a highchair and stairgate tucked away in an under-stair cupboard. (The cot bed can be found in the walk-in wardrobe in the main downstairs bedroom.)

In the living room, an abundance of natural light pours in through three different aspects, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s elegantly furnished with two three-seater sofas, three armchairs, and a central rug that comfortably accommodates nine guests. Occasional tables with reading lamps and a smart TV make this room perfect for relaxation, reading, or enjoying a film together. Open the bi-fold doors to access the patio with seating, where a path leads to the inviting hot tub.

The convenient cloakroom on the ground floor includes a toilet, hand basin, vanity unit with a mirror, and a heated towel rail.

At the heart of the house, you’ll find the impressive, fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining area. The kitchen boasts a central island with two bar stools, a double oven, double sink, large fridge and freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, and all the modern amenities needed for self-catering or catering by a professional. The dining area features a long rectangular Ercol-style table with two long benches and two chairs. French doors open to the side garden, and a separate door leads to the Utility Room.

The Utility Room is a handy space equipped with a washing machine, dryer, ironing facilities, and a sink.

Please note that the bedroom numbering is based on location, not size.

Bedroom One offers a cozy single room with a full-size single bed, bedside table, reading lamp, dressing table with a mirror and chair, and a view of the patio.

The spacious ground floor Master Bedroom, Bedroom Two, features a zip-and-link super king-size bed (which can be converted into twins upon request), an en-suite shower room, and a generous walk-in closet. Either side of the bed, you’ll find cozy rugs and bedside tables with reading lamps. Across a deep pile rug, there’s a dressing table and chest of drawers with a mirror and chair. The walk-in closet provides ample hanging space and shelves, and the bedroom windows offer a delightful view of the patio and garden.

The luxurious en-suite shower room features polished stone tiles, a walk-in shower with rainfall and hand-held showerheads, a toilet, hand basin with a vanity unit, mirror and shaver’s point, and a heated towel rail.

First Floor

Ascend the carpeted staircase with a reassuring banister to reach a spacious landing. From here, you’ll discover three double bedrooms, each adorned with a luxurious deep-pile silver-grey carpet, two en-suite shower rooms, and a family bathroom.

Bedroom Three offers a delightful en-suite double bedroom with a picturesque view of the surrounding countryside through two dormer-style windows fitted with blinds. It features a king-size bed, complete with bedside tables and reading lamps, a double wardrobe offering both shelves and hanging space, a full-length mirror, and a dressing table (not shown in the photo).

The en-suite shower room cleverly occupies a corner of the bedroom, featuring a cabinet shower with both rainfall and hand-held showerheads, a toilet, a hand basin with a vanity unit, a mirror with a shaver’s point, and a heated towel rail.

Bedroom Four, the coziest of the double rooms, welcomes you with its standard double ornate bedframe, bedside tables with reading lamps, a double wardrobe, chest of drawers, and a dressing table (not displayed in the photo), complete with a chair and mirror. The bedroom’s view overlooks the garden to the side of the house.

The family bathroom is a bright and spacious sanctuary that boasts a full-size bath with an overhead shower, including both rainfall and hand-held showerheads, a toilet, a hand basin with a vanity unit, a mirror with a shaver’s point, a laundry basket, and a heated towel rail.

Bedroom Five, positioned at the end of the landing, stands out as a second master bedroom, flooded with natural light. It features a king-size bed, accompanied by bedside tables and reading lamps, a spacious dressing table area with a chest of drawers and a hanging cupboard, and a full-length mirror. Two dormer windows, equipped with blinds, provide captivating views towards the village and nearby farmland.

The luxurious en-suite in Bedroom Five showcases polished stone tiles, a walk-in shower with both rainfall and hand-held shower heads, a toilet, a hand basin with a vanity unit, a mirror with a shaver’s point, and a heated towel rail.

Outside

At the rear of Maple House, you’ll find an expansive wraparound patio that includes a small lawned area and a stepping stone path leading to the hot tub, which will be prepared and heated for guests upon their arrival. This rear patio, equipped with a table and chairs to comfortably seat 10, offers multiple access points: from the house via the bi-fold doors in the living room, from the front door through a gate located beside the house, or directly from the private parking area. Additionally, adjacent to Maple House, a lengthy garden and a petite patio are accessible via the kitchen/dining area.

A path and a set of steps guide you from the rear garden to a gate leading to the private parking area.

Check-in time is from 3pm – but we can let you into the cottage sooner if requested (previous guest dependant).

A few minutes away on May Lane there is Vegetable Matters Farm Shop and Cafe and also Fresh Meat Matters Butchers next door. The nearest supermarket is the Co-operative food store in Chipping Campden (2.5 miles), open 7am-10pm every day of the week.

The village pub The Ebrington Arms is a 2 minute walk.

Chipping Campden (just 2.5 miles away), has a Market Hall located in the centre of the town. This iconic Market Hall is surrounded by ancient houses made from the local honey-colored stone. The Almshouses in Chipping Campden are just a short walk away from the main high street built in 1612.

Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton-on-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold, are all close by and well worth a visit. Charingworth Manor wedding venue is 2 miles away and 12 miles south of Stratford-upon-Avon.

Ebrington, can be explored on foot and there are many local wonderful walks.

The nearest train stations are Honeybourne (6 miles) and Moreton in Marsh (6.5 miles) both are on the GWR service from London Paddington.
